I was born and raised in southwestern Virginia and began 20-year career in real estate related industries following graduation from VA Tech; having earned a BS in Housing, Interior Design, and Resource Management with a concentration in Housing. Beginning my career in affordable housing for the elderly and multi-family, I transitioned to conventional housing and development with a move to the mid-west. Always seeking to grow, I sought out challenging opportunities and many brought with them moves to other parts of our great country and new adventures.
Following another relocation, I became a Property Manager for a company who manages commercial and portfolio investments as well as home/property/condominium owner associations. Within less than a year of taking on this new roll, the economic downturn of 2008 hit and the next six years were like none ever experienced for so many. Working with developers, homeowners, and builders during this difficult time was one of the hardest challenges I had ever faced. So many people were losing their jobs, homes, and businesses and being able to help developers and investors join with the people who were buying into their projects find middle ground on issues, helping struggling developments and associations work within the confines of very limited funds, and guiding newer associations in the creation and implementation of standards and procedures were only a few pieces of the puzzle.
We relocated to Savannah in 2014 and have greatly enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas and other parts of the state. As I began looking for another challenge, I knew the time was right to make the transition to yet another aspect of real estate and being a Realtor was something I had thought of many times. Having bought and sold homes with almost every move, I believe my family’s experiences of relocating, finding a home, and acclimating to a new area provides me great insight in helping others find their new home or sell their house to begin their next chapter. After researching the Savannah real estate market and various options, I knew Keller Williams Coastal Area Partners was the right fit. I like the idea of being with a forward-thinking company that values being a part of the community and creating a culture that promotes nurturing relationships and giving back.
